As the title of this video suggest, we are discussing changing Work Permits in Thailand. This is something that comes up not exactly frequently but it will happen from time to time we see folks need to change over their Work Permit they are like changing companies, changing jobs, they may be self-employed, ending that, they may want to go into retirement; they just want to change their work authorization status.

Generally speaking in the past this was actually easier even though they made legislation, well regulation that was designed to make it easier on the worker. Point of fact I would argue it has made it kind of harder. There are formalities now associated with letting one Work Permit go that it is not properly done, if the formalities aren't maintained, it can make it very difficult for one to go ahead and get a subsequent Work Permit. 

So for these reasons, if you are looking to make a change in terms of a Work Permit, it is probably not a terrible idea to contact a legal professional, gain some insight and guidance into how best to proceed.
