As the title of this video suggests, we're discussing, well we are discussing setting up companies for Americans here in Thailand. 

I've done many videos on this topic over the years but yeah, Americans can benefit from what is called the US-Thai Treaty of Amity, which allows us to set up and once certified here as a company in Thailand under the Treaty, we can gain "National Treatment" for our corporations to do business herein. That can be extremely beneficial for Americans looking to do business here in Thailand. 

On top of that, you can utilize a company with Amity Certification to act as a platform for Corporate Banking and corporate matters that can operate here in Thailand as well as Visas and Work Permits. As noted in other videos, foreign nationals wishing to work in Thailand have to obtain a Work Permit in order to do so. Visas do not carry an inherent right to work with them necessarily, so that is something to keep in mind. 

So the thing to take away from this video and understand though is Americans can own their companies 100% notwithstanding the Foreign Business Act here in Thailand by dint of the fact we have a Treaty between us and the United States. Those companies can then act as a platform for maintaining ongoing long-term Business Visa and Work Permit status which could even lead eventually to application for Permanent Residence here in the Kingdom of Thailand.
