As the title of this video suggests, we are discussing the US-Thai Treaty of Amity. For those who are unaware Thailand in the United States have a bilateral Treaty between those two nations which allows American citizens and for that matter Thai citizens doing good business in the United States but American citizens doing business here in Thailand or American Companies doing business here in Thailand can gain the benefit of the US-Thai Treaty of Amity, specifically the national treatment provisions of that agreement. Under the provisions of that agreement it is possible for an American to be treated as if they were a Thai for purposes of doing business here in the Kingdom and their business if certified, can be treated as if it was a Thai national with certain restrictions for purposes of doing business here in the Kingdom as well. 

But, I think something Americans don't really look at when they look at the benefits of the US-Thai Treaty of Amity is the fact that a Thai Company with Treaty Certification could effectively gain the best of all worlds insofar is one can set up in Thailand under an Amity structure and basically gain the benefits of being able to do business just like basically a Thai Company could but you are also here in ASEAN. You are in the middle of it all within the Association of Southeast Asian Nations which right now is arguably one of the more, if not the most dynamic regions in the world when it comes to Business Development and industrialization. 

So the thing to take away from this video especially for Americans, in fact exclusively for Americans, is look don't hesitate to look at the possible benefits of doing business here in the Kingdom under the provisions of the US-Thai Treaty of Amity.
