Thai Corporate names are something that folks out here sometimes can get a little bit hung up on. Me personally, yeah sure, we have Integrity Legal Thailand, this is a brand in and of itself, I do understand the importance of a corporate name. 

But for example, small companies especially when we are assisting folks who are looking to set up consulting operations and things over here, names may not be as important as they are when you are dealing with certain other types of businesses. Now that being said, some people find names to be very important so a name check associated with the incorporation of a Thai Company is part of the process and it can sometimes be a process that people find frustrating because they may really want one specific name and unfortunately they are not able to get it because the Department of Business Development deems that the name is either the exact same as the name already in use or too similar to be put in use because it would cause perhaps confusion in the business environment here in Thailand.

So the thing to take away from this video is yes you can pick your own company name but a name check has to be undertaken in order to register that name and if that name is too substantially similar to another name, it may not be possible to register that name for a Company here in the Kingdom of Thailand.
