As the title of this video suggests, we are discussing, well basically we are discussing Business Visas, company set up and sort of the accoutrement associated therewith. 

For those who are unaware, notwithstanding a lot of nonsense on the internet, you cannot come and work in Thailand in any way basically, as we have discussed in other videos, that impinges on the Thai economy which can be interpreted to be virtually anything. You cannot come work in Thailand without work authorization. Only Thais have inherent right to work in Thailand. So a lot of folks, they look at all these different things and they say, "I am going to go with this Visa option". My personal opinion is completely tying your immigration, and your sort of tax and business affairs completely together can be a little bit less than optimal under certain circumstances and I say that with things like the Elite Visa, LTR and DTV in mind. I am not saying they are bad; I'm saying in certain circumstances they are sub-optimal. Company set up on the other hand, again depending on your circumstances, may be highly optimized to your situation if you basically are setting up a company, maintaining your own Work Permit and then using, especially Americans I think can benefit from this, I get into this specifically in another video I made contemporaneously with this one discussing the US-Thai Treaty of Amity, but American analysis is pretty unique to Americans at this point especially in terms of sort of tax and things. 

That being said, the point of this video is you can utilize a corporation here in Thailand to act as a hub and a repository for things like banking, corporate banking and maintaining a long-term Business Visa and Work Permit which can eventually put you on the track of things like Permanent Residence and maybe even citizenship depending on circumstances. But again, this type of corporate setup may not be optimal for everybody but for the people it is optimal for, it can be a very beneficial type of setup.
