As the title of this video suggests, we are asking the question, “What does it cost to get a Thai Work Permit and Business Visa?” I don't mean to sound like a broken record or to sort of, I don't know, be too vague or nebulous, the long story short is Work Permit and Business Visas will depend on a lot of factors and there are now a lot of different types of work authorization out there. So depending on the given circumstances of a given case, that is going to factor in with the cost associated with Work Permit and Business Visa. 

For example, someone who comes here to Thailand as just an individual entrepreneur, sets up a small Thai company and wants to go ahead and get a Business Visa to Work Permit, the cost structure associated with that is going to be very different for example than someone who comes to Thailand and goes to work for another company or goes to work for example for a BOI Company. 

Again, also as we have discussed in other videos, the so-called Smart Visa which is very narrowly used in terms of the overall numbers of expats in Thailand, it is kind of a narrow usage within the overall expat population. That said, it is a different type of work authorization; the work authorization is inherent to that Visa so the costs associated with it are going to differ again from just setting up as an individual entrepreneur. Meanwhile as we have discussed in other videos, different types of certification for the underlying corporation may factor into the total cost associated with Thai Work Permit and Visa as well. So for example, Amity Treaty Certification, which can be utilized by US citizens and that certification allows for 100% ownership of a Thai corporation, that type of certification may overall impact Thai Work Permit and Business Visa cost, as well as for example BOI concessions, Board of Investment concessions as well as concessions granted by the authority which governs the Eastern Economic Corridor here in Thailand. The associated costs associated with that can also have an overall impact on Work Permit and Visa cost. 

So again and not to put too fine a point on it, exactly the type of the business activity that is going to occur in Thailand as well as any relevant concessions or certifications may have an impact on the overall cost of Business Visa and Work Permit issuance here in the Kingdom of Thailand.
