"Last-Minute Tax Reminder" from IRS Regarding Tax Filing?
Transcript of the above video:
It's that time of the year again. I thought of making this video as I was reading a recent article from ZeroHedge, that is zerohedge.com, the article is titled: IRS Sends Last-Minute Tax Reminders to Millions of Americans in Disaster Areas. Yeah, in disaster areas! So we may not send anybody to help you out, but we'll certainly send you a letter reminding you to kick up.
That said, quoting directly: "The IRS said Friday in a last-minute reminder the people and businesses who are covered under 2024 disaster declarations do not have to submit their taxes by April 15. Some individuals' and businesses' taxes are due by May 1, and people in three states have deadlines in the fall to submit their taxes, the IRS said in the press release coming just over a week before Tax Day." So yeah, we are coming up on Tax Day here and IRS just letting everybody know that they have got possibly these duties that they have to deal with. Again I find it really interesting, they are very, very efficient in getting that out, but oftentimes Government services don't seem to be forthcoming in quite such an efficient manner. That being stated, for those who are primarily resident abroad, you may be able to avail yourself of automatic extensions, again depending on the underlying facts in the given case.
Those who feel a bit overwhelmed about tax matters, it may not be a terrible idea to contact a legal professional, gain some insight and guidance into how best to proceed.
