As the title of this video suggests, we are, we are catching up yet again with what's going on with "Big Joke", Surachate "Big Joke" Hakparn who came to my attention when he became the Head of the Immigration Police and really shook things up inside of there. Then he had quite an interesting career path following that which we kept folks up to date with. Now it appears that he is cracking down on a number of illegal activities here in Thailand.

I thought of making this video after reading a recent article from the Bangkok Post, that is bangkokpost.com, the article is titled: Police raid under-construction gambling den in Pattaya. "CHONBURI: Police have raided a building in Pattaya and found it was being modified for use as a gambling den by a Chinese national. Deputy National Police Chief Police General Surachate Hakparn ordered the search following information that a group of crooked Chinese investors planned to operate a grey business there. The building used to be a pork barbecue restaurant before it was closed down." Yeah when I read this too, I put a little note to myself on here, 'wasn't the hangout in The Sopranos a pork store?' I thought that was kind of funny. In any event, yeah interesting. 

We followed Big Joke's career quite closely honestly because of what was going on in Immigration and I have kind of liked following it since then because there is always something going on. He is always doing something at least rather interesting when it comes to law enforcement and it looks like especially during this APEC thing, there have been a lot of folks been arrested here in Thailand, a lot of international criminals in the lead up to this and it seems like “Big Joke” is sort of right there in the fray as always.
