"A Dangerous Predator Caught in the Shadows" in Thailand?
Transcript of the above video:
As the title of this video suggests, we are discussing a dangerous predator seems to have been caught in Thailand. I thought I'm making this video after reading a recent tweet from Pure Guava, that's @pureguava10300 over on X. Quote: "A dangerous predator caught in the shadows. American fugitive arrested in Thailand for 'stalking and harassment'
The 58-year-old American fugitive was arrested by police at a condominium in Chiang Mai, Thailand. He was wanted by the FBI under a US arrest warrant for allegedly stalking and sexually harassing women and children. The suspect also faced charges involving three counts of physical assault and three counts of stalking back in the United States. Authorities tracked him down after the United States Embassy revoked his passport and coordinated with Thailand's Central Investigation Bureau."
Hey, US Embassy thank you, good, and CIB, Thailand CIB, Central Investigation Bureau, good. Find these people, rip them out root and branch. They have no place in Thailand; quite frankly I don't think they have any place in this world other than prison, at best. Quoting further: "He is currently being detained and is awaiting transfer to the Immigration Bureau's Investigation division for deportation."
Yeah, look, again, hats off to the US Embassy; hats off to the Law Enforcement here in Thailand. This is exactly what I love seeing my tax dollars go toward paying. This is good, this is a good thing. This type of stuff, I know that there was an era where folks thought that they could come out to this region of the world and think they could get away with all kinds of nefarious things, that era is over; it's done. There isn't any more of this, and Thai Law Enforcement is not messing around. You talk about a priority; this is the priority. There was an issue involving licensure of a school down in the islands, they sent in the Army. This is how Thailand thinks of its children. This is the priority that children are placed at in Thailand especially when it comes to those who would pray upon them. So this is not the place to come if that is your intention. In fact, my hope is that you walk off a short pier, and we never see you again, but that said, barring that, it would be my preference I guess that all these folks end up in jail somewhere. But long story short, Thailand ain't the place to come.
So again hats off to the US Embassy; hats off to Thai Law Enforcement in dealing with this matter, it seems to be expeditiously and quite efficiently. So hopefully, we will see less and less of these kinds of news stories. But that said, one of the reasons I keep making them, notwithstanding the fact that the algorithm sort of downplays them - I won't say suppresses it, but it is just not particularly pushed if you will - for la variety of reasons, but I continue to make these videos because I want to encourage law enforcement, both in the US as well as here in Thailand, I want to encourage this kind of good behaviour of rounding these folks up and summarily dealing with them here in the Kingdom of Thailand.
