Top Thai Cop Seeks To "Prevent And Suppress Crimes By Foreigners"?
Transcript of the above video:
As the title of this video suggests we are discussing the top, well currently the acting Head of the National Police here in Thailand is seemingly prioritizing going after foreigners who are committing crimes here. I thought of making this video after reading a recent article from the Bangkok Post, bangkokpost.com, the article is titled: Phuket model solution to visitors' crimes sought. Quoting directly: "The initial discussions are aimed at finding solutions to prevent and suppress crimes by foreigners on the tourist island, many of which have made headlines in recent months, said Pol Gen Kitrat Panphet, the acting National Police Chief."
So again, I thought this was noteworthy and I urge those who are watching this video, go check out that article in detail, a lot of good insight in there but I thought that this was noteworthy because hey again if I haven't sounded the alarm once, I don't know how many times I can sound it, Thai Law Enforcement is serious about foreigners not only behaving badly but operating illegally here in Thailand, working illegally here in Thailand, they are not kidding around and you can see it in their efforts. Law Enforcement efforts are pro-active, they are making arrests on a very regular basis and they are just not messing around with this stuff anymore.
So those who are looking to come to Thailand to do business for example, get your ducks in a row. Set it up right, get your work authorization in order and be in line with the law because if you don't, I think moving forward we are looking at a law enforcement apparatus here in Thailand that is going to be increasingly zealous in that activities of enforcing relevant, not only relevant criminal law here in Thailand but relevant Labour Law as well.
