As the title of this video suggests, we are discussing property prices here in Bangkok and it appears that it is definitely becoming a buyer's market here in Thailand or at least Bangkok specifically.

Quoting directly from a recent article from the Bangkok Post, that is bangkokpost.com, the article is titled: Bangkok Land Price Index Drops 2.2% in First Quarter. Quoting directly: "The land price index in greater Bangkok reported a quarterly drop in the first quarter of this year for the first time since the index began in 2012 due to the impact of the pandemic according to the Real Estate Information Center." Quoting directly: "Vichai Viratkapan REIC's acting Director General said the quarterly decrease in the land price index in greater Bangkok in the first quarter of 2021 followed a year-on-year decline of 13.3% in the number of land transfers in the 4th quarter of 2020."

Well I have definitely seen a lot of things going on sale here in Bangkok just looking around. Unfortunately, a lot of businesses have closed; a lot of for rent signs as well, so I definitely think again to call this a buyer's market, I think would definitely be an understatement. It is a good time if you are looking for bargains for property purchase in Bangkok, either residential or commercial, this is the time to be looking. It is probably going to be one of those periods that people look back on, now certainly not wistfully or nostalgically looking back on the lockdown time in Bangkok but there may be a time where people start looking back from a real estate investment standpoint and wish they had gotten their hat in the ring during this time.

Now again, circumstances depending on one's situation, it may or may not be a good time to invest in property or purchase something but at least as of now, it may go lower who knows but it is certainly as I said a buyer's market here in Bangkok at the moment.
