Are OECD and Destination Thailand Visas Pheu Thai "Hoaxes"?
Transcript of the above video:
As the title of this video suggests, we are asking the question, are Destination Thailand Visas and the OECD, or influence by the OECD here in Thailand, in my opinion unduly so, and the OECD being the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development; are these Pheu Thai hoaxes? Now what are we talking about here? Buckle up. This is going to be a bit of a longer video.
I initially thought of making this video after reading a thread on X; it sort of began to percolate in my mind. I'll get to that thread in a minute. But this all sort of culminated after, and I sort of put a fine point if you will on my thoughts for making this video after reading a recent article from the Bangkok Post, bangkokpost.com, the article is titled: Hoaxes ‘rife’ as poll nears. Then the sort of byline is Disinformation 'distracting voters'. Well my first thought of this was all the talk of so-called misinformation and disinformation during the COVID "pandemic" and I put "pandemic" in quotes because let's be honest, and I've discussed this at length in many other videos, including at the time we were going through this, during the darkest days of COVID, the notion that COVID was a pandemic or if folks forget, it was called Coronavirus at the very beginning. It's interesting because Corona, like means crown, like the crown of your head. Coronavirus means like you're not thinking, there's a virus in your head. I go back to that and I think of that and I often wonder if there was more to that first name and then they started calling it COVID which there is another word where if you just think of it sort of in its enunciation or pronunciation, COVID, don't worry about the spelling, covid, to cove a boat, a boat is coved (c o v e d) means you put a boat in a cove to not allow it to move, which was exactly what happened for 3 years under this, as our economies were shut down and people had to endure untold government overreach throughout the world. And again, circling back as to why I put pandemic in quotation marks, it is because this whole thing didn't meet the criteria of what was theretofore considered a pandemic prior to Mr. Tedros, an avowed communist who completely screwed up a cholera epidemic in his own country and was kicked up to the UN or the World Health Organization - and by the way here's a guy that didn't get vaccinated himself for a variety of different reasons, which you can check that out as well - but yeah, he shoehorned whatever those facts were at that moment into the notion of a pandemic which then caused certain mechanisms to click over in my opinion unintentionally on the part of certain national governments for example like Thailand which did zip up the country and hermetically sealed it once it was considered a pandemic. But I remember the Emergency Decree; I remember when this came down in March. This was not viewed the way it's now viewed in retrospect. The folks that even did it at the time back under the military - well it wasn't exactly the military government - but we were coming out of all of that, they were hesitant to do this as well because quite frankly, everybody had a pretty good inkling that not a lot of that stuff made sense. So I get a little rankled when I hear the term disinformation or misinformation, and let's not forget the term malinformation which as we discussed in another video on this channel, is information that might be actually true and accurate, it's just inconvenient to the regime, so it's malinformation and therefore had to be censored; they tried to come up with that one as well. So anytime I hear this in any context now, quite frankly the hackles on the back of my neck go up, the hairs on the back of my neck, my hackles go up, because I've been through this rodeo okay. And in the aftermath of my opinion, the debacle of this past Parliament, which was primarily driven by the Pheu Thai Party, I'm kind of doubly dubious of anyone claiming, "oh there's disinformation and hoaxes going on". And when I say that, I look at it as are you projecting on to others what you yourself sort of know you're doing? Let's jump into this.
Quoting directly: "As campaigning intensifies ahead of the February general election, allegations of organized misinformation and political smearing have taken centre stage, with the People's Party (PP) and Pheu Thai warning that distorted narratives and selective attacks risk distracting voters from substantive policy debate."
Well what about distorted narratives about oh I don't know, the acting Prime Minister's ability to dissolve the House, because that was a distorted narrative that was being pushed and foisted on this country even though he was told early on from the Council of State that he didn't have that authority and yet he tried to go ahead and do that. And then in his capacity as Minister of the Interior, tried to reshuffle everyone associated with the administration of elections here in Thailand. What about the distortion of that? Why doesn't that come up? Quoting further: "Pheu Thai's Prime Ministerial candidate Yodchanan Wongsawat" - and by the way that's Thaksin's nephew - quoting further: "also addressed rising political attacks, criticizing attempts by some parties to label rivals as "grey" or "covert" for refusing to commit to coalition alignments." Okay. I'm not going to go too much into that like, look, there is political back and forth that goes on; all right, fine. Quoting further: "Such accusations, he said, were designed to polarise voters rather than promote policy discussion." Really? Polarising voters? Like it wasn't polarising when the rump Coalition Parliament tried to do all kinds of things like, I don't know, put casinos in that would be entirely administered by foreigners and possibly even the land underlying them would be owned by foreigners. That wasn't polarising? Quoting further: "Quote: "The public will decide which Party is trustworthy," he said, stressing that Pheu Thai remained committed to listening to people's concerns rather than trading insults." Are you going to listen to my personal concern about the fact that your former Prime Minister got on the phone to Hun Sen and made us all look bad over here, to say the least? Trustworthy! Quoting further: "Mr. Yodchanan dismissed speculation that the next Prime Minister had already been predetermined and rejected claims of coordinated use of money or influence, saying all Parties must strictly adhere to the election law. Quote: "What matters now is delivering credible policies and respecting the electorate's judgment," he said." Well you didn't seem really care about all of that again when an Acting Prime Minister from your Party tried to dissolve Parliament, which isn't in line with either the laws or the people's intention. So I have problems really believing that.
Meanwhile, credible policies. Let's talk about some credible policies under Pheu Thai during this past Parliament. First of all how about the Digital Wallet nobody wanted that it was attempted to be foisted on this country to the tune of an increase of 20% of debt to GDP ratio and then it would create a digital payment system that would track and trace all Thais’ financial transactions - small or large - and be money that could be turned on and off and could only be spent on certain things, within certain physical parameters, within certain radii, radiuses of certain places specifically one's Tabian Baan, one's registered home address. They wanted to create, again this was Pheu Thai, it was an initiative by Pheu Thai to put in this Digital Wallet program that would have had all Thai transactions tracked and traced and it would have had this money that could only be used within a certain radius of one's own home. Who wanted that? Who voted for that in the last election? And yet, that was what was presented.
Meanwhile, talk about hoaxes. Here's another one nobody was looking for in the last election. Quite frankly, that was the Destination Thailand Visa, and I got to thinking of this after reading, actually I saw a recent post on X which was on Just Mike@JustMikeMcKay. Quoting directly, again this is on X. "A couple of horny tourists visiting Phuket turn a minivan into their own personal BangBus. The number of reals being shared of tourists behaving badly in Thailand has skyrocketed in the past couple of months. Daily brawls are now the norm." And then under this quote, under Aaron Mac@AaronMAC30: "Open Visa door policy especially the DTV is to blame. No checks and balances on backdoor immigration." To which I then chimed in and responded: "Yes, thank Thaksin for it, his crew brought it in at his behest because he's a WEF shill." Yeah I don't have any other word for it than that at this point. The World Economic Forum showed a tremendous amount of undue influence especially on what I call the Rump Parliament of this last Parliament, the Rump Coalition which I call it that because it was just barely able to pass the budget and then we basically saw it fall apart, but up to that point was doing all kinds of stuff nobody was particularly interested in especially then Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra, the daughter of Mr. Thaksin, having a big meeting with the World Economic Forum envoy in the Purple Room here, which I talked about at the time. Who wanted that? Where was that voted for? Why isn’t misinformation brought up when these folks do all kinds of things that had nothing to do with their electoral mandate upon coming into office? Where's the label for that? What's that called? Is that disinformation, misinformation, whatever? Quoting further: "The DTV was designed to destabilize Thailand in similar fashion to the way "immigration has destabilized the West. That said, with the election, things are likely to change quickly."
Yeah, I stand by that. I'm starting to really think this DTV was intentionally designed to bring in a bunch of people to Thailand for the purpose of not really helping Thailand. It's undermining to the country. Why do I say that? I know there is going to be all kinds of comments about, "oh, they spend a lot of money." Neat. Actually I don't think the stats are there that they spend a lot of money. Secondly, no work authorization, no particular reason to be here, and yet they're going to, ostensibly could be here for up to five years. And again I've gone into great detail about this. It's not a foregone conclusion you are going to get a DTV that's going to give you a full 5-years' worth of time. Meanwhile, the financial criteria are minimal at best, and again I think it's going to lead to all kinds of bad outcomes which we have already seen for Brand Thailand because it's not what's it's presented to be. It was brought out as some kind of like fix-all visa and it's just not that. Meanwhile, what's happening here? As is being pointed out in this Twitter thread, it's bringing in a bunch of people who are doing what for the country? What exactly are they bringing in? If they are not going to work here, and they are just going to hang out here, what are they bringing in? Are they foreigners that are just engaging in lascivious sex acts in public? Are they foreigners that are just engaging in fighting and causing all kinds of intimidation to local Thais? If that's what's being brought in here, then what was the purpose of the DTV? And let's bear in mind that the DTV was purely an invention of Pheu Thai. Pheu Thai was the one that controlled Ministry of Foreign Affairs when this was created and it was Pheu Thai through the organ of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, with absolutely no consensus sought nor any sort of input from internal immigration or any of the Immigration apparatus otherwise, as to this Visa. No, no, no, we just roll it out and impose it on internal Thailand, all coincidentally at a time when we wanted to make tourist numbers look like they were spiking while Paetongtarn Shinawatra was coming in during the reshuffle after Mr. Srettha Taveesin fell from power due to problems within his own Cabinet.
Again, you talk about hoaxes here. Between the OECD, the World Economic Forum and these Visa machinations, I don't know what's a bigger hoax from this past government. And going into this next election I am very hopeful that Thais will be going to the polls or thinking about issues like foreigners in Thailand, whether or not they have work authorization, and if they do, whether they've done it right; are they paying taxes to Thailand for example? What are they contributing by coming in? OECD, what’s this doing for anyone? What's all of this totalitarian tracking and tracing doing for the economy or the people of Thailand? These are the questions that I hope are very much on the minds of the electorate in going to the polls come this February of 2026.
