"Big Joke" Back and Getting "Bigger"?

Transcript of the above video:

As the title of this video suggests, we are discussing someone we haven't discussed in a while, Surachate "Big Joke" Hakparn who was the Police General in charge of Immigration who then kind of went through what you would want to call sort of a limbo period. And then we recently discussed it looked like he had been reassigned to deal with some matters kind of tangential to Immigration in the field of human trafficking but a recent article that was otherwise not really relevant to the whole thing from the Bangkok Post I thought was noteworthy. I will go ahead and quote and then I can analyze.

The article is titled: Cops to erase files of cleared suspects. Again bangkokpost.com. Just a quick excerpt here and again, those who are wanting to check out this article, go check it out in detail. It really is not talking just about "Big Joke" but I thought this was really interesting: "The Royal Thai Police is deleting criminal investigation records of anyone who has faced legal charges but later been cleared of the offenses according to Police Lieutenant General Surachate Hakparn, Assistant Chief of the National Police." State that again: "According to Police Lieutenant General Surachate Hakparn, Assistant Chief of the National Police." So whereas before we were discussing this and it seemed "Big Joke", Police Lieutenant General Surachate Hakparn was basically he was again it was something tangential to Immigration as I recall, it was like human trafficking. Now it appears he is the Assistant National Police Chief, so interesting.

People have asked me why I kind of keep track of this. Well one, he came to my attention when dealing with Immigration matters. I would do these videos about what's going on with Thai Immigration Law and he was a big piece of what was going on with Thai Immigration law especially from about late 2017 going into '18, '19 and then he kind of vanished as we discussed in other videos, it was pretty big news. Then he came back and now he is back and it looks like he is pretty close to the top of the command structure of the National Police at least ostensibly from this article in the Bangkok Post. So interesting, it is definitely interesting. I never like to see anybody, it is always kind of interesting to see kind of a tale of a comeback kind of thing and hopefully it all works out for him. It is just interesting to kind of see and sort of watch the trajectory of his career. So, if there is anything further to report on the matter, we will certainly keep you updated on this channel.
