As the title of this video suggests, we are discussing retirees in Thailand specifically in the context of Medicinal Cannabis. Why am I bringing this up? 

Well I am bringing it up because in the past week I have had like six retiree clients and we deal with a number of retirees here in the office, I have had like six of them mention to me, "I really am happy that Thailand has eased up especially on Medicinal Cannabis." Let me be clear, we are not talking about recreational here, we are talking about medicinal cannabis, I have talked to a number of retirees who have said, "Man, it is one of the reasons I really like being retired here. I like it even more." One person told me they had real problems sleeping, they have issues with anxiety and these products really, really help for those purposes. Other people have told me they have issues with like glaucoma. Again there is a reason that the policy makers have decided to go the way they are going with respect to this commodity, there are medicinal applications to it. 

Now I understand that there has been, for a lack of a better term, a concerted effort especially in the Western media and media here in Asia, to kind of vilify if you will, Cannabis or sort of make it seem sort of nefarious or sketchy or shady to use a colloquialism. Point of fact, I know a number of retirees, a number of older folks here in Thailand who really, I have even talked to some recent arrivals who have said "I am here because of it," Most of these folks are Americans, "we have it in my state, it is legal medically back in my state in the USA. One of the reasons I chose Thailand to retire is because I really need that product in order to be more comfortable in my retirement." I totally get it. I really think that there was a lot of foresight that was utilized when making the policies specifically and particularly with respect to Medicinal Cannabis here in the Kingdom of Thailand.
