"If Everything Goes According to Plan"?

Transcript of the above video:

As the title of this video suggests we are discussing, “If everything goes according to plan." The reason for that quote in the title came from a recent article from Thai PBS World, thaipbsworld.com, the article is titled: Thailand drops pre-departure RT-PCR test for overseas arrivals, allows Songkran celebrations. Quoting directly: "Additionally, the CCSA has approved the Ministry of Public Health's COVID-19 management plan to gradually reclassify the Coronavirus as an endemic disease." Quoting further: "If everything goes according to plan, albeit with full cooperation of people in general, he said the infection rate is expected to decline by July, as projected by the Public Health Ministry."

My thing is, I don't understand this notion that plans somehow have any impact on natural phenomenon. I mean what plan is going to have anything to do with how a virus propagates or spreads or does anything for that matter? Yes I understand in a very controlled environment, but once you are in a community spread phase, I don't get it, I really don't. That is not me making an assertion, I just don't understand.

That being said, definitely good news and it does appear we are continuing to move forward. Thailand is continuing to, I think it is safe to say we are continuing to see the light at the end of the tunnel so to speak that we hopefully will be at the end of all these Draconian measures, all these restrictions. Hopefully we will see an open Thailand; open to tourists; just open to do whatever; back to the Thailand we all know and love and I always loved Thailand, but I definitely have more fun and enjoy myself a lot more in a Thailand where I can do what I want. It is going to be nice to hopefully be back to this sooner rather than later.
