Introducing BWH.Club & Integrity News Service
Transcript of the above video:
This video is acting as a sort of preface to another video we made to introduce what I am calling BWH.Club. I have got to be honest with you, I'm not calling it that out of any sense for marketing or anything, I expect this Club will actually be relatively small in the grander scheme of things at least in terms of social media. I'm not looking to have a big audience following whatever, what this is looking to be, what I'm hoping it is a Club for expats to find information and to an extent also services. I am modeling it after many of the Clubs I have been a member of for years here in Thailand, things like the British Club or the Sports Club, the Polo Club or the Foreign Correspondents Club - which I'm not actually a member of but I'm seriously considering joining - all of these clubs are kind of geared around the notion that there is an Expat Community or maybe not an Expat Community but there is a community that sort of gets together and by dint of their sheer volume, can act as a benefit to each other. There's a movie called Dallas Buyers Club which the subject matter of it is really sad actually, it involves the HIV HIV/AIDS epidemic, pandemic, whatever you want to call it, of the '80s and '90s but the whole notion of a Buyers Club comes up in that movie as the title suggests, because there are folks that need to get rather difficult to obtain treatments and medicines and things and so they get together and form this like Buyers Club.
What I'm thinking, and this is sort of the purpose of BWH.Club, moving forward, the world is changing. I don't know if folks have been watching the silver prices lately. We have definitely seen where things have gone in Gold, even in Thai gold, the world is changing. The currency exchange rates are moving. My personal opinion is the tectonic plates of the world's economy are shifting. We are seeing supply chains and things shift around that. The point I'm trying to make it point is expat life is in my opinion in a state of flux in many, many ways, and what I want this club to be more than anything, is again sort of mutual aid society in a sense. There will be club fees and please feel free to contact us, shoot me an email, just put in the subject line, you can send it either to [email protected], or [email protected] and just put in BWH Club and then if you are interested in it, we'll get back to you on how to get in and deal with it. I've decided the main focal component of this Club though is going to be something that I think is rather radical if interestingly enough it's also a throwback in its own way, membership is going to be entirely analog. What do I mean to say by that? We're not going to do memberships where you sign up for anything on the internet itself and we're not going to be asking you for information on our website that will be keeping any personal information regarding you. You will be issued with identification information for using our website i.e. a number or a passcode or a handle that you can use the website, the Club's website - which is not up yet by the way, but we are working on it - but the point I am trying to make is I've been thinking about this long and hard and if you can't tell from the videos and the content that I create, I find the notions of just basic human liberty very important. Basic human freedom. The ability to just have a basic level of privacy to live your life, make your living in the way that you feel you need to make it or just live your life if you don't feel like you need to make a living.
The point I'm trying to make with this is, going analog is the only way that - I've been sort of tossing and turning for months and anybody especially from our paid news service has been wondering, "what's taking this guy so long? he has been talking about this forever." Frankly this has been a long time coming because I've been trying to struggle with the notion that if I go only analog, I am probably going to have a much smaller group of people because there are just a ton of people that like digital. But long story short, yes it will have a digital component. You will be given a passcode to be able to use the site and things like that, but your information will be kept fully analog recorded. We'll have it on file here and yes, if there is some sort of warrant or something issued or Court Order or Subpoena and there are legal grounds and it's Court of Competent Jurisdiction and they say "hey, we need you to turn over that information". Well again if it's due and proper under due process of law, then yeah, we will go ahead and do that. But again, it's going to be analog. It's not going to be possible for anybody to crawl into one of our computers or something and figure out your actual information. So that's the main thrust of this Club.
Now upcoming, you're going to see a video where I am talking about this house that we went ahead and purchased. I actually went ahead and bought it on the premise that we were going to use it as sort of a support facility for Border Running. Border Running is changing and I bought this facility up at the Aranyaprathet - Poipet border. For anybody who is unaware, there has been a little bit of tension along that border. Not to be snarky, let's be honest, there has been a war between Cambodia and Thailand; there is now a ceasefire and things are de-escalating. I am optimistic that moving forward through the first quarter of 2026 and beyond, this will de-escalate and I think we will actually end up with many solutions that will probably initially come from the border itself and then eventually some more solidified diplomatic solutions where we can see a longer standing relationship - working relationship - between Thailand and Cambodia and likely we can get the border back open and moving along. If you look at the upcoming video that is sort of tied together in this one, yes, we have facilities there. At the moment, it's not really the best time to be trying to use those facilities. But long-term, part of the Club is going to be using the facilities by Club members for things like Border Running, for things like even storage. Look folks have things here in Thailand. If they use this place as a hub, they may have sort of a suitcase full of clothes and things, some place where you can go where you can just store that stuff and come back and get it later, that's a major benefit. So again, we are looking to get this thing set up in the first quarter of this year; it's taking a little bit of time. Again, if you're interested in joining, I'm going to send out something to the paid news service people to get you folks transitioned over to the new Club very, very sort of seamlessly if you will. But moving forward yeah, if you're interested in joining this again, it's entirely analog. We will not be doing this digitally. Your information will not be taken down digitally. We will either take it down over the phone or in person. We will keep paper copies of the information associated with your membership, but you will then be issued an ID of some sort that will not be sort of in any way affiliated with you personally; it will just be your ID. In this way, we can at least try to maximize as best we can privacy in the current brave New World in which we're living in.
As of the time of this video, we are in Aranyaprathet, up in Sa Kaeo along the border between Thailand and Cambodia. I'm making this video because I'm introducing a couple of things. One, we're doing a new channel. It's going to be called Integrity News Service. It is own News channel and we will be focusing a little bit more on more topical stuff. I think you'll probably start seeing a lot more of my opinion pieces over on the news service channel but one of the ongoing segments I want to do on this channel is going to be called Checkpoint Benji, which is what I'm calling this house. We'll go ahead do some v-roll so we can put up some footage of the house, but basically yeah I bought a little house up along - and I actually did this at the beginning of 2025 - we bought this house and went ahead and we're going to be trying to use it to assist folks to do Border Runs. And then, as we're all aware, a lot of stuff broke out in the meantime and it hasn't quite it hasn't quite worked out to where we'd be able to, we actually put the renovation on hold because of the hostility that broke out. Now hopefully with the prospect of we might be seeing some sort of easing of tensions and things might get back to some level of "normal" and we might see the Border reopen. Again, not forgone conclusions and not particularly likely to happen at this moment, but as you can see, I've got work to do up here. We're going to be getting some folks to help us, and we're going to be getting this put together. So we're hoping that there may be some alignment in timing between getting this renovation done and actually seeing the Border re-open to be able to start using this facility to assist clients as well as Club members.
I haven't gotten into this much yet but I think it's time to start discussing it as we're getting toward the beginning of the year. Folks who are in the paid news service are already aware of this. If you're interested in the paid news service, please feel free to email us, [email protected], but as I've explained to folks in there, yeah I'm forming what I'm calling BWH Club or BWH.Club will eventually be the domain name; finishing up the website now. We're going to offer a number of things in the Club most notably, there are going to be courses to take with regard to expatriation, how to retire in Thailand, how to move to Thailand, things to do with courses, and by courses I mean videos that are going to be exclusive content on things like setting up your lease, dealing with things of the nature of just getting moving in Thailand, getting going, getting set up. And then things like Border Running will also be an integral part of all this. BWH obviously my name Benjamin W. Hart, but also I kind of thought Borders, Water, Housing and by ‘water’ I mean sort of the waterfront, different types of border runs as well as finding housing in Thailand can always be a difficult endeavour. So for that reason, we went ahead and we are forming this club to help expats. It's not really exactly a client thing, it's more a network is what I'm trying to put together and I'm trying to put together different facilities and different places in Thailand that can be utilized by Club members to just basically make their lives easier; to facilitate just the day-to-day stuff you have got to deal with like Border Running, as part of being an expat. So stay tuned for more than that as we end this year.
But I thought of making this content because I wanted to go ahead and introduce the new facilities. We will be renovating this, and we will be keeping track of that over on the Integrity News Services new site under, if you're interested, I'm calling this Checkpoint Benji because of everything that has sort of broken out I feel like here we are sitting along the checkpoint between Thailand and Cambodia under current circumstances and it just felt like the right name. The segments will probably be referred to as Checkpoint Benji, whereas the channel we're just going to call Integrity News Service. Again, you're likely to see more of my opinion pieces and things over on there as time goes on. Because frankly the Integrity Legal channels purpose, it’s raison d’être was to basically provide legal information and things, not so much topical news etc. So I think the Integrity News Service channel is more fit to purpose for that, and also this content exclusive to that channel is going to be the Checkpoint Benji channel, Checkpoint Benji episodes if you will, show, I hesitate to call it a show, but just segments where we will be keeping you updated with regard to the renovations we are doing up here in Sa Kaeo, up here in Aranyaprathet near the border in an effort to if nothing else, just provide something for people to watch, to just kind of watch this thing grow up and hopefully sooner rather than later, we will see the Border reopen so that we can provide some ongoing content to provide information regarding Border Runs here in the Kingdom of Thailand.
