"No Plans to Force" Vaccination in Thailand?

Transcript of the above video:

As the title of this video suggests, we are discussing the notion that the Thai Government has "No plans to force Vaccination in Thailand".

For those who have watched some of my videos, I am not an anti-vaccine person. I actually kind of don't like the fact that you almost have to preface everything you say these days with that on this topic because to my mind vaccines are a modern marvel and I am very happy that we have that technology. It has probably saved countless thousands if not hundreds of thousands, if not millions of lives as has other medical technology and various hygiene protocols have saved countless lives as well. My issue with respect to all of this as I have noted in other videos is I have some real issues with the notion that a Government can compel anyone to ingest or inject or really compromise their bodily integrity on any level. I have serious concerns about that.

Now the purpose of this video though is and something that has been of concern to folks, regards vaccination policy here in Thailand and there has been all this “hinting” by different Government Officers which frankly I really don't like and I have noted that in other videos. But a recent article from the Nation, that is nationthailand.com, the article is titled: No Plans to Force People to take COVID-19 Jabs Yet. (I like how they stick that in there. I will get into that in a minute) - Public Health Ministry. Quoting directly: "The Public Health Ministry said on Monday that it will not take legal steps to force people to get vaccinated because the situation is still under control." I would like it if they would have said "because we don't do that"; that would have been a lot nicer to have seen them say that.

The other thing that I have really found concerning in all of this is the way the Media does not seem to take an objective approach to looking at this. They seem to be tilting their cover, it is like the title. Why isn't it just "No Plans to Force People to take COVID-19 Jabs" period? Why is it "yet"? That sort of ominous implication that “well it is waiting in the shadows” or something. Just really honestly, let's just report what is going on. The Government has said they are not going to do that they are not planning to do that so moving on. Why the kind of... waiting for the other shoe to drop? I don't know why that is being done. Is there agenda being pushed. I don't even want to get into that.

That really isn't the purpose of this video but long story short for now and especially in an Immigration context, I know people are concerned about this, NO, there is not currently a mandate, a requirement, anything of that nature associated with vaccination in an Immigration context or otherwise. As noted and I will say it, things can change. It remains to be seen but I am hoping that cool heads continue to prevail in the policy structure of the Government apparatus here in Thailand and this policy or should I say lack thereof, remains as it is right now.
