No Quarantine for Thailand Travel in January 2022?

Transcript of the above video:

As the title of this video suggests, we are discussing the possibility of quarantine free travel into Thailand by January, 2022.

A recent article from the Pattaya Mail, that is pattayamail.com, the article is titled: Thailand's Tourism Ministry aims to reopen Whole Country by next January. Quoting directly: "Thailand's Tourism and Sports Ministry is aiming to open the whole country without quarantine by January next year depending on the level of nationwide herd immunity." Before I continue, I really want to point that out. "Depending on the level of nationwide herd immunity" We have been hearing a lot about re-openings and I have been talking about this going back into a year ago, I figured we would be open by January 2021. We were talking about that going into April of this year, we thought things, they did reduce the quarantine by seven days briefly, before re-imposing it and we have been stuck with that although we do have the "Sandbox" systems and everything. Understand, 'hope for the best, but plan for the worst'. Hopefully this will be the case, January 2022 we may start seeing things reopen. I don't mean to laugh. It is kind of dark humour I guess because we have just gone through so much of this kind of push and pull. I don't know how many videos I have done about "travel bubbles" that have never come about so just take it maybe with a grain of salt. Just be cautiously optimistic, let's say that.

Quoting further: "Minister Phiphat Rachakitprakarn said Bangkok was set to open in October as part of the second phase but this phase has been delayed to November as the majority of residents will not receive their second vaccine dose until the end of October. Meanwhile Chiang Mai, Prachuab Khiri Khan (Hua Hin) and Chon Buri (Pattaya) will go ahead as planned on October 1st."

I definitely think optimism is in the air and hopefully we will start seeing things reopen sooner rather than later. We will definitely keep folks updated on this channel as the situation progresses but as noted, cautious optimism. If you are looking to come in quarantine free, at least for the time being, you may have to utilize kind of an intermediary approach by coming to one of the "sandboxes" for example of the hopefully soon to be open "sandbox" schemes which allows you to go to a certain location, just stay in that area albeit not in an actual hotel room where you are just locked in. Hopefully we will see that sooner rather than later.
