As the title of this video suggests, we are discussing well what I would argue is one of the more important sporting events in Southeast Asia, and as the title suggests that would be 2023's International Bikini Beach Race hosted down in Pattaya. And I know that I personally especially during COVID missed this event, so it is good to see that things are getting back on track here in Thailand, no pun intended. 

I thought of making a video after reading a recent article in the Pattaya Mail, that is pattayamail.com, the article is titled: Pattaya shorelines set for dazzling Bikini Beach Race 2023. Quoting directly: "The stage is set, and on October 28th, at 4:00 p.m., Pattaya Beach will transfer into the adrenaline-charged arena for this renowned event. With International recognition echoing its name, the Pattaya International Bikini Beach Race saw a formidable turnout of 3,000 runners in the previous year, hailing from all corners of the globe. This year, the organizers, driven by the success of past events, are aiming higher, with the ambitious goal of attracting up to 5000 runners. The event is not just about the race, it is about showcasing Pattaya as a "Sport City", aligning with local government initiatives to foster sports and fitness in the region. As the city gears up for this thrilling extravaganza, the Pattaya International Bikini Beach Race 2023 promises not just a race against the sands, but a vibrant celebration of fitness, community and the lively spirit that defines Pattaya. So, mark your calendars, as the beach readies itself for a sea of runners, clad in bikinis, creating waves of excitement along the coastline." Yeah, indeed.

I know we do a lot of kind of stodgy videos on here; we are talking about a lot of dry subject matter but we do talk travel news here and this is something that I think is probably going to be of interest to many of the travellers who come to Thailand specifically and even go to Pattaya in the even more specific cases of folks that enjoy going down to that resort. And I do hope and I believe that we will be looking forward to a rather fun event in the form of this upcoming Bikini Beach Race which is again in my opinion one of the most, how would I put it, I guess it is the most anticipated, eagerly anticipated sporting event in Southeast Asia.
