Thai Economy "Thundering Back"?

Transcript of the above video:

As the title of this video suggests, we are talking about the Thai economy and thank our lucky stars, thank whomever, thank grace, thank God, thank anything frankly, it looks like there is some good news out there. I thought of making this video after reading a recent article from the Thai Examiner, that's thaiexaminer.com, the article is titled: Soaring Baht as the Thai Economic spirit rises with one of the world's lowest levels of inflation. Quoting directly: "Thailand's economy and currency have come thundering back in the last 3 weeks with the baht's values soaring through multiple barriers to hit Bt35.93 to the US currency while both consumer and Industry confidence are on the rise. The country's inflation has also been taking downward while the Kingdom finds itself at the bottom of the scale right 107 out of 130 countries on the basis of inflation far behind developed economies such as the United Kingdom, the United States and Germany."

Yeah, sorry for UK, US and Germany. That's not a good thing for them but this is good news for Thailand. I'm really happy to see this; I'm really happy to see that after the major sort of almost policy about face if you will, where we just turned around from all of this lockdowns and shutdowns and now the impetus seems to be behind getting back to work, making some money, doing some business and it looks like Thailand's taking it all in stride. This is great news. I am glad to see all the tourists are coming back, it's really, it's almost surreal now seeing tourists out on the streets and stuff, it's just after years of being kind of abandoned and just wondering around, tumbleweeds going down the streets, we have got tourists back. I just think across the board this is nothing but good news, definitely happy to see the Thai Baht, while I do know that a weak Baht against for example the Dollar provides some benefits especially to retirees and there's something to be said for that but there is kind of a sweet spot in my mind right there around 33, 34, 35 where both the tourists and the expats that live here, especially the retirees and then manufacturing and things can kind of both live with that number or that kind of range with respect to the currency because the sort of twin pillars of Thailand's economy, manufacturing and export as well as tourism and even the retirees are a significant part of the economy here insofar as they bring in foreign exchange and basically just spend it in Thailand.

So again, kind of finding that happy medium currency wise, that's a tough thing to do, that Goldilocks moment where it's just right but it looks like Thailand's doing it and I can only say that I'm just happy to see it.
