As the title of this video suggests, we are asking the question, "What's going on with gambling laws here in Thailand?" There's a lot of speculation swirling throughout the ether of the internet right now. This is one of those topics where I'm taking a slow approach. I've seen a lot of people make a lot of rather hyperbolic statements on the internet regarding recent documentation that's come out from the Thai Government regarding changes with respect to regulation of certain gambling activities here in Thailand. 

Now as of the time of this video, I do not have a full grasp of what all of this means and I am not going to engage in a lot of speculation in this video with regard to this. What I do know as of this time, the law is in sort of a state of flux; we are seen certain memoranda coming down that are stating that certain aspects of the law on gambling are being altered. Now exactly what the practical implications of that are remain to be seen. Meanwhile foreigners who are like looking at this issue, this is one you need to be very, very, very careful with because if you fall outside the lines of the bounds of the law on this, there could be very serious and stringent criminal penalties associated with that. Meanwhile, whatever is going on with this, presume it pertains to Thais; it doesn't really have much to do with foreigners to begin with. That said, that's as far as I'm going to go with respect to analysis on this at this point. We're currently here at the office, I'm having our legal staff - specifically Thai Attorneys - here in the office looking over this issue in order for me to be able to create a more coherent and more quite honestly, more deeply insightful video if you will or deeper analysis regarding this overall topic. That said, please bear with me. Again there is a reason for this and the reason is getting this wrong and getting the wrong sort of presumptions out there in the ether of the internet could cause a lot more damage than it could cause benefit. I'll put it that way. 

Meanwhile, again be very leery of listening to any foreigner out there running around saying this is the end all be all; this is exactly how it works; this is the black and white; this is the answer; this is the conclusion. Be careful with that, again for a variety of different reasons. This stuff is sort of in a state of flux. Again we will be keeping you updated on this channel as this situation evolves as best we can, but I do not want to engage in hyperbolic speculation for fear that folks out there, especially out there watching this video or other people out there that are keeping track of this, may end up detrimentally relying on someone's analysis and creating a problem for themselves, not to be redundant, but to their own detriment. 

So again take a deep breath, everybody just kind of chill out on this particular topic and I will be updating folks as I get a firmer grasp of exactly what's going on here.
