As the title of this video suggests, we are discussing the end of Thailand Pass if there is ever going to be one. I got to thinking of this when reading a recent article from ASEAN NOW, that is aseannow.com, the article is titled: Face masks to be still needed in Thailand even after the emergency said Minister Anutin this week. 

Now bear in mind that what we are talking about in this video is not directly related to the mask stuff. I have done another video contemporaneously with this one which sort of gets into that but quoting directly here: "Minister Anutin also could not confirm a date for removal of the Thailand Pass application which he acknowledged was being worked towards and said that a declaration of endemic status would require input from the World Health Organization." Yet again, why? Why does the WHO, I would think, Thai Public Health officials would have better insight into what is going on with respect to the public health of Thailand because they are in Thailand. They are going to have better insight than anybody else. Why are we looking to outsiders for this information? This is Thailand. The Thai Ministry of Public Health is probably going to have the most insight of any organization regarding this matter. 

Going back to the whole thing, yeah it looks like they are talking about possibly ending Thailand Pass either in June or July; that is kind of being bandied about. Bear in mind for now we are still dealing with it and we haven't seen anything promulgated which would suggest that we are going to see an end to it officially. Now that said, it does kind of feel like and this is a good thing and I am happy that the Government is moving in this direction, but it does seem like there is a move in the direction of no Thailand Pass basically. It seems like it will come to an end, the only question is "when?"
