I have had this question a lot over the holidays. People have been asking me, kind of coming up to me out of the blue a couple of times and saying "hey do you think they are going to rescind Cannabis legalization in 2024?" 

Well I think the same way I thought of it in 2023 which is, no I don't think they are going to rescind anything. Now do I think we could end up with a regulatory structure promulgated in 2024? I think it is very likely that could happen and as I have discussed another videos I think there is going to be an intense regulatory regime as well as an intense tax regime when a Bill is actually promulgated through Parliament. Now whether or not that happens anytime soon remains to be seen but I think it is very likely we will see some kind of law promulgated within this year. Again not a foregone conclusion but I don't think it's outside the real possibility. In fact I think it is within the realm of probability that that will actually happen. Again, do I think they will fully rescind it and it will go back to the status quo ante where it's totally illegal again? No, they made it very, very clear they do not want to consider this a narcotic again.

That said, regulation does seem to be a major priority of this Government and frankly of any Government that is in my opinion responsible, they should regulate it. It is at this time regulated; nobody under 20 can use it, pregnant women for example cannot use it; obviously children, people of that nature, younger people obviously can't use it. But will there be some sort of Act in 2024 where we see even further rules related to the business of Cannabis? Yes, I think that is very likely.
