As the title of this video suggests, we are discussing inheritance here in Thailand, estate planning Wills and estates. This isn't specifically a video on Wills, it's a video on estates in Thailand and there is a little bit of a difference, let me get into it. 

I thought of making this video after reading a recent article from Khao Sod English, that is khaosodenglish.com, the article is titled: South African woman searches for Thai family to settle inheritance. Quoting directly: "South African woman seeks Thai stepmother and her child to claim father's inheritance after over 15 years of separation.” Quoting further: “A deceased South African man's daughter has initiated a quest to locate a Thai mother and her child who have lost touch for more than 15 years. She encourages them to come forward and claim their inheritance from the father. Her South African father once traveled to find this mother-child pair, but they eventually lost contact. He legally remained married without a divorce."

They go into some information in there. I urge those who are watching this video, go check out that article in detail and if you can maybe try to help put these folks back together because there could be sort of a happy ending to all of this in the fact this person passed away and there may be some inheritance for this person's Thai child. 

So the thing to take away from this video and understand is this is a really good example of why Wills are a good thing to have because if you have a Will in place where you have noted who your heir is and where they can be located, or where their Attorney can be located, you can forestall having these kind of problems in the event of passing away here in the Kingdom of Thailand.
