As the title of this video suggests, we are discussing tourist arrivals here in Thailand. I thought of making this video after reading a recent article in the Bangkok Post, bangkokpost.com. I urge those who are watching this video, go check out this article in detail, I am going to quote a small excerpt from it but there is a lot of insight in here. The article is titled: 'Grey' businesses facing crackdown. Quoting directly: "The University of Thai Chamber of Commerce estimates that 5 million Chinese tourists will arrive in the second quarter tallying, 7-8 million for the whole year, bringing the total number of foreign tourist arrivals to 26 - 27 million in 2023." 

Now that remains to be seen. This is all kind of a projection but boy I am really hopeful that we do see that number of tourists coming back to Thailand here in 2023. It would be a great thing for the economy; it would be a great thing for Thailand; we would love to see the tourists back here in Thailand. I can't say that enough quite honestly. I mean after two and a half years of tumble weeds rolling down the streets of Bangkok, it's great to see tourists up to their old habits, just around, looking around the city. I am mostly here in Bangkok but I have been down at the beach a couple of times, seen them down there. It's great and definitely Thailand is welcoming those folks with open arms and frankly from everywhere. Thailand is open for tourism from folks from any country frankly. I mean I think with pretty rare exception that seems to be the case. So again the thing to take away from this video is yeah, Thailand is reopen and hopefully we are going to see tourism bouncing back to what we are used to it being here in the Kingdom, here in 2023.
