As the title of this video suggests, we are discussing the possibility of 30-year visas in Thailand.

In a recent article from ASEAN NOW, that is formerly the thaivisa.com, that is aseannow.com, the article is titled: Give foreigners 30-year Visas for Million Dollar Investment and Watch Land Prices Rocket says Phuket Group. Quoting directly: "A Phuket Real Estate Group," (and let's be clear this is not the Government, this just a proposal out there but I saw it and I thought it was worth bringing up), "a Phuket Real Estate Group has thrown its support behind plans to have been presented to the Government to attract a million foreigners to Thailand and CISSA” (I think that is the group) “have even gone farther suggesting the foreigners who invest 30 million Baht in Thailand should be given 30-year visas." Well this seems like an extension of other things we have seen being discussed in the context of 10-year visas etc.

There is a 30-year Visa option effectively open right now. I mean Thailand Elite provides a 20-year maximum membership, or visa max, but in theory, as long as Thailand Elite exists at the end of that 20 years or at the end of the first 10 years, one could reapply to have their membership extended by another 10 years so in theory, one could have 30 years of status as of now. This doesn't have anything to do with, well I should say this isn't a particularly cheap option. I mean this proposed 30-year Visa which again is purely a proposal. Nothing we have seen so far would indicate that the Government is actively considering this but this proposal would presumably, it's not cheap. It is 30 million Baht, a million dollars but it may happen it may not. There have been other proposals out there. We will certainly keep people updated on this channel as the situation evolves.
