The Royal Thai Embassy in Seoul, South Korea

Transcript of the above video:

As the title of this video suggests, we are discussing the Royal Thai Embassy in Seoul, South Korea. The address is Royal Thai Embassy, 635-7, Hannan-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul 140-210, Korea (Republic). Colloquially I refer to this as Seoul, South Korea. It should be noted that officially it is Seoul, Korea as all the documentation that we have researched officially refers to it. Seoul, Korea. The telephone numbers are: (+82) 2 795 3098 or alternatively (+82) 2 795 0095 or alternatively (+82) 2 795 3253

For those unaware, we make these videos presumptively for folks who are seeking visas to Thailand. It should be noted different Embassies and different Consulates have different jurisdiction and they do things in different ways so what may work administratively from a documentation standpoint at one Embassy or Consulate, may not work the same way in another Embassy or Consulate. At the same time, different Consulates and Embassies have different Consular jurisdiction with respect to the categories of Visa they can issue as well as the duration of Visa they can issue. So certain categories like a Thai Business Visa, it may be possible to get that issued at the Royal Thai Embassy in the Philippines but it may not be possible to get that same thing issued at the Royal Thai Consulate in Portland, Oregon for example; it may differ from post to post.

The other thing is duration of status may be different. Consular jurisdiction may vary with respect to the length of Visa that an Embassy or Consulate can issue. Some Consulates and Embassies can issue what is called a multi-entry Visa which oftentimes can last for as long as a year while certain other Embassies or Consulates may only be able to issue a Thai single entry visa which presumptively is going to be good for 90 days. So again, these are things that may differ from post to post.

For those who feel overwhelmed by the process in general, it may be a good idea to go ahead and contact a legal professional in order to gain some insight and guidance into how best to proceed.
