Thai Business Visas for Teachers in Thailand
Transcript of the above video:
As the title of this video suggests, we are discussing Business Visas for teachers in the Kingdom of Thailand.
Thai Immigration and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs make specific provision for those who are coming to Thailand in Business Visa status specifically for the purpose of teaching. I am quoting directly from the Royal Thai Embassy website in the UK, under the subcategory non-immigrant type B: Working as a teacher, employed as academic staff, single entry only. Required documents- Visa regulation of Thailand concerning the Visa applicant from native English-speaking countries who wish to apply for an appropriate visa to work as a teacher in Thailand both on employment basis and voluntary basis is as follows: passport; qualifications; letter confirming employment details; copy of university registration, school registration; approval letter from Ministry of Education, that is pretty key; Certificate of criminal record clearance; financial evidence; bank statements etc.; confirmation of legal residence in the UK or Ireland; that you can transpose US there, Canada or any place else, most of Europe.
It should be noted that these type of visas are only issued in a single entry format. That is because those folks are then required to come to Thailand, obtain work authorization and extend their status in Thailand as opposed to utilizing what is called a one year multiple entry Non-immigrant B Visa which is possible to obtain under certain circumstances but that is more for a true business context. That is not for those who are working in an educational capacity here in the Kingdom of Thailand
