Wow! There is a ton of stuff on YouTube right now, a ton people talking like they know something about Visas, Work Permits, whatever. There's also a bunch of people calling, not a bunch, there are a few people out there in the ether of the internet that are saying, they are an Agent for this kind of Visa or that kind of permit or this kind of thing whatever.

Hey, as we have discussed in other videos, agency and brokerage are specifically prohibited occupations for non-Thai nationals. I'm not saying that with a smile because I am particularly overly happy about this fact, it's more because I think people ought to know that look you are talking to people that are actively engaged in illegal occupations and you ae trying to get some kind of legal advice from them. That's a bad idea across the board; it's just not a great idea. Meanwhile there are plenty of Thai lawyers; there are tons of them; they are all over and they have varying degrees, yes I will admit varying degrees of English language proficiency or other language proficiency, but they are out there and they are good at what they do. I'm not making these videos because I want everybody to come to us, I want you to go to other Thai lawyers, I don't want you to go to fake scammers that just happen to look somewhat like you and speak your same language. Use people that actually are qualified to do and talk about what they are doing and talking about and it just kind of gets really galling to watch a bunch of foreigners come to this country, brand new by the way, and the reason I am making this video actually, it is because of one specific individual or entity out there in the ether of the internet that I have heard from folks that have talked to this person and then they have come to me and whatever this person, I almost want to ask if this person is high or something, because honestly the things that they are telling these people and then they come over to me and say "well I was told by so-and-so that we could do that." Yeah, you can't and if you start doing that, you are going to end up in a situation where you are going to find yourself possibly arrested or blacklisted, deported, all kinds of problems. Again not the purpose of this video to just "everything needs to come to Integrity Legal", absolutely not, just geographically we are not everywhere in Thailand. We have kind of a specific geographic base where we are located here in Bangkok; we do stuff sort of in the central sort of Gulf region of Thailand going down the Eastern Corridor; yes we assist with stuff going on down there but way up North, way down South, yeah we do assist from time to time with cases down there but it's not particularly routine. I have no doubt there is other Thai Law Firms that can handle that stuff but don't just be sitting around in my opinion, looking around the internet, just "oh well this person is trustable because they look like me and they speak my language." No, as we have said in many other videos, a lot of these people are doing stuff that is absolutely illegal in Thailand just even talking about and trying to advise on things that quite honestly I don't think from my experience and observation second hand, some of these people are, quite honestly it is almost dangerous in the sense that they are advising people about things that are just wildly off base of what the reality is and making folks think that they can do something that ultimately will get them into real trouble.

So again, as always it is a very good idea to deal with people who have the credentials they are talking about, that they espouse, and also have the fundamental understanding of the subject matter with which they are dealing with that aren't just fly by nights BS-ing on the internet about something about which they don't have any knowledge of.

Again, I am not saying this to say 'everybody come over here', it is not my purpose. In fact, I would love it if people watch these videos and say ‘yeah I am going to go look at finding a Thai lawyer someplace or someone in the place that I am at' there is nothing wrong with that but it is a good idea to deal with somebody who has the ability to legally do what they say they are doing here in the Kingdom of Thailand.
