Borders Between Thailand and Laos Reopening?

Transcript of the above video:

As the title of this video suggests, we are discussing the borders between Thailand and Laos. Just some stuff to report on this but quoting directly from the Pattaya Mail, pattayamail.com, the article is titled: Thai-Lao border checkpoints reopen to welcome travelers. Quoting directly: "Immigration Police in Nakhon Phanom province are fully ready for the reopening of two local border checkpoints with Laos including a pier to serve tourists and local people as cross-border travel is expected to be active again." There is a lot more information in that article. I urge those who are watching this video, go check that out in detail.

This is definitely good news and it is kind of part of the overarching theme that we have gotten into on this channel in the past few weeks which is it looks like land borders are starting to reopen which means it may be possible to start seeing so-called Border Runs and Visa Runs happening again although don't expect it to be exactly like it was back in 2020 just immediately. As we have discussed in other videos, we are still as of the time of this video, dealing with Thailand Pass. We are still dealing with certain insurance requirements or testing requirements depending on your circumstances so again it is not going to be exactly like it was in 2020 but it does auger well for both the kind of further future and the immediately foreseeable future. Hopefully the momentum on this will keep going and we will see things fully reopened and get back to what we are used to being normal here with respect to being able to go in and out of Thailand; get into Laos, get into Cambodia for that matter, Myanmar, Malaysia depending on where you want to go. Hopefully we will be seeing this get back to a certain level of normality sooner rather than later.
