As the title of this video suggests, we are discussing Thai nationality; that is naturalization to Thai citizenship and tax documentation. 

This isn't something that immediately springs to mind when people are thinking of naturalizing to Thai citizenship. Usually they are thinking of how long they have been in Thailand; their status in Thailand; documentation associated with possibly family relationships in Thailand, but taxes doesn't immediately spring to mind. It is fundamentally important. When I went through nationalization myself, I found that one thing that was heavily scrutinized by the Officers at the Police precincts that dealt with my case as well as Ministry of Interior, I noticed that tax documentation was paramount. Deficiencies, even tiny deficiencies in tax payments or recordation of tax payments, tax receipts, tax returns, this stuff is key. It is really, really important and frankly it can be really fine points in some of the documentation that can cause an application to be delayed or it can forestall one from being able to file an application in a given calendar year. 

For this reason, it may be a good idea, if you are looking at naturalizing to Thai citizenship to not only contact a legal professional who has dealt with it but an accounting component can be, as strange as it sounds, accountants and immigration lawyers on this, work hand in glove because there is so much associated with taxes that go into the adjudication of a nationality application more than one would think or intuitively think and for this reason we have found that having an accounting component is a lot of help when we are dealing with putting together petitions and processing petitions for nationality here in the Kingdom of Thailand.
