As the title of this video suggests, we are discussing, well it looks like the Labour Department and Employment Law Authorities here in Thailand are scrutinizing and seem to be keen to cracking down on those foreigners here in Thailand who are operating illegally and who are operating in professions which are restricted for foreign nationals. 

I thought of making this video after reading a recent article from the Nation, that is nationthailand.com, the article  is titled: Thai Authorities crack down on schools employing foreigners illegally. The thrust of that article goes in a very different direction, so I urge those who are watching this video, go check out that article the detail. That said, one line in this was particularly of note to me. Quoting directly: "The crackdown targets foreigners working in professions reserved for Thai Nationals under the Emergency Decree on Foreigners' Working Management, as well as those who do not have a proper Permit." Notice what they are saying: "as well as those who do not have a proper Permit." So they are going after people for not working with a Permit at all. They are also targeting those who are operating in the restricted occupations. And for those who have been watching this channel with any kind of regularity know, this has been kind of hacking me off lately because I've seen a lot of these so-called foreign professionals who come over here and operate in total violation of relevant Thai Law - so-called Stamp-Pimps as I call them who have come over here and consulted regarding to Thai Tax Law, again completely in violation of Thailand's restricted occupations. 

So I am very happy to see relevant authorities are now looking into this and I am very, very hopeful that they begin shining the light on these folks who are coming in to this Kingdom, taking jobs from people that are local here and also operating to Thailand's detriment by spreading nonsense as false professionals and as people who are operating and engaging in the unlicensed practice of law as well as the unlicensed practice of many of these professions here in the Kingdom of Thailand.
