As the title of this video suggests, we are discussing the discontinuation of certain aspects of the Thailand Elite program? Okay, there has been a lot of talk about this and quite honestly it has been from a lot of people that don't know what they are talking about. The history of the Thailand Elite program has been let me say, some people who don't know what they are talking about. I made some videos recently where I got a little crabby about the fact there is a bunch of people that are running around out there talking about Immigration in a tone that it is very, it is false confidence quite honestly because it is people that think they know something because they can like read the internet and they don't have a really particularly deep knowledge. Thailand Elite has evolved almost since its inception; Thailand Elite goes back some 20 odd years and there was a time it went sort of almost defunct. I remember blogging about it years ago that it had all but disappeared and then it kind of made a comeback but then when it made a comeback, it made a comeback in a very different form. We have seen pricing changes associated with the Elite Visa since that time. We have actually seen services kind of shift and evolve over that period of time so again, Elite has not been this like static thing and everything's changing and that is something, sort of the sky is falling over! No, that's not what's going on. This program has changed significantly over the years. I wasn't particularly surprised when I heard it is possibly changing again. 

I thought about making this video after reading a recent article from Thailand Elite, that is thailand-elite.com, its title: Discontinuation of current Thailand Elite Visa membership programs by 15th September, 2023. Quoting directly: "This year, Thailand Elite celebrates a significant milestone: 20th anniversary. Throughout these two decades, Thailand Elite continuously evolved to meet members' changing needs. In a dynamic move towards offering superior services and in line with Thailand Elite rebranding plan, we are excited to announce the upcoming launch of new membership packages on October 1, 2023." Quoting further: "However, this introduction of new packages also means the discontinuation of all existing membership programs. The following membership packages will no longer be available for new applicants from 15th September, 2023:

• Elite Ultimate Privilege
• Elite Family Premium
• Elite Privilege Access 
• Elite Family Excursion
• Elite Family Alternative
• Elite Easy Access
• Elite Superiority Extension
• Elite Maxima Health 

So all of those are going to be discontinued. Quoting further: "Existing members need not worry; this change won't affect those who have already submitted membership applications. These members will continue to enjoy their privileges until the end of their membership period but may not be able to renew and upgrade the existing memberships under the previous terms." 

So yeah, Thailand Elite is changing and we are kind of in a state of flux at the moment. We are seeing this going to come online it looks like in the 4th quarter here of 2023. Exactly what this looks like remains to be seen. We don't know, at least I don't know as of the time of this video what the new packages are going to look like but they are going to be introducing new packages. Presumably there is going to be different pricing associated with such packages. We will certainly keep you updated on this channel as that situation evolves.
