A rather discreet subset, but a subset nonetheless of our client base here in Thailand is actually couples who come to Thailand to set up businesses and operate here in Thailand, and for many of them it can be very beneficial. 

As we have discussed in other videos, it is possible for foreigners to set up a company in Thailand. Depending on your circumstances and nationality, you may have to set up a 49/51 setup. For those who are American, it may be possible to get 100% corporate ownership set up pursuant to the provisions of the US-Thai Treaty of Amity. There may also be concessions to be garnered from the Board of Investment here in Thailand as well as the Eastern Economic Corridor Committee both of which can actually issue certain types of concessions to do business in Thailand. That being said, the point of this video is to discuss basically couples, sort of a “company” built for two, like a bicycle built for two kind of thing.

Yeah, it's possible. We set up a lot of those companies; we set up Work Permits and Business Visas on those folks/ And then they do their time and eventually accrue their time to be able to apply for things like Permanent Residence here in Thailand.
