Foreigner "Arrested at Phuket Airport" Using Fake Immigration Stamps?

Transcript of the above video:

It looks like we are doing another one of these foreigners behaving badly type of videos; let's just jump in here. I thought of making this video after reading a recent article from the Phuket News, that's thephuketnews.com, the article is titled: Uzbek man arrested at Phuket Airport for using fake stamps. Quoting further: "Immigration Officers at Phuket International Airport have arrested a 35-year-old Uzbek man for allegedly using forged stamps "

As we will get to in a minute, they don't actually say what type of stamps they were but they do appear to be Immigration stamps, I would presume that. Quoting further: "The arrest took place at the international Arrivals Hall at about 9pm on Tuesday (Oct 22)." So the Arrivals Hall, so presumably this person was coming into the country. Quoting further: "The investigation team led by Pol Lt. Akkaraphon Keawkiattiyot, and Snr Sgt Sergeant Major Aksorn Chawkamkhet of the Phuket Immigration Checkpoint, apprehended the suspect on charges of "using a forged seal, stamp, or stamping sheet", the report confirmed. The Uzbek man was taken into custody at the airport and transferred to Sakhu Police Station for further legal action, said the report. The report did not identify the Uzbek man by name, and did not define exactly which stamps in the passport were allegedly fake." Interesting. I would be kind of curious to know exactly what stamps were at issue in this case.

We have seen situations in the past involving people utilizing forged stamps and being thereby deported and blacklisted in connection therewith. Exactly what happened here remains to be seen. Where possible and if we get further clarification, we will certainly keep you updated on this channel as that situation evolves.
