As the title of this video suggests, we are discussing the notion of vaccinated travelers being allowed unfettered access to the Kingdom of Thailand.

A recent article from the Bangkok Post, that is bangkokpost.com, from Saturday May 8th 2021, the article is titled: Phuket to Re-open as Planned. An interesting paragraph in there, quoting directly: "The fourth and final phase due to begin January 1 next year, so 2022, will allow any foreign tourist certified to have been fully vaccinated to be allowed to enter Thailand and freely travel around." So it looks like Jan 1, for vaccinated travelers is going to be the earliest that you are going to see just unfettered travel, and again for vaccinated tourists. I don't know what they are going to be doing with unvaccinated people Jan 1 of 2022. It remains to be seen. There is a lot of time between now and then.

As we have seen just in this past month here in Thailand the situation can change fairly dramatically very dramatically a paradigm can shift very dramatically so to presume that there is any type of certainty with respect to what exactly is going to happen January 1, 2022, I think we are too far out to make that kind of call. But last year, we were trying to predict things a couple of months in advance and it seemed logical, especially last summer, and then nothing would happen. There was no let up. Things did kind of change and they kind of evolved incrementally but it is very difficult at this point to try and surmise exactly what the policy thinking is going to be at the turn of the coming year. I mean that is basically seven months away. I just don't know how that is going to look. 

Hopefully things will have improved, hopefully dramatically between now and then, but it is hard to tell. We will keep you updated on this channel as the situation evolves.
