Medical Tourism and Visas in Thailand: Dental Treatment
Transcript of the above video:
As the title of this video suggests, we are discussing Medical Tourism and Visas here in Thailand. And as you can see, I never wear a hat but Health Tours Thailand, why are we talking about that? Well my good friend here Derek Halpern, he is an old friend of our firm. We have known him a long time, going back years now I think and he is actually helping people do Medical Tourism here in Thailand.
There's a lot going on with Medical Tourism in Thailand. If you haven't noticed on our channel, we don't talk about it a lot. The immigration side of it is oftentimes usually humdrum which we still do assist people with the Visa side of things but with respect to Derek, there is a whole bunch of other stuff that goes into making plans, going ahead and making travel arrangements, dealing with the appointment bookings and things, with doctors, dentists, cosmetic surgeons here in Thailand etc. There are all kinds of logistical things that go into that and quite honestly it almost takes a specialist. So what we are going to go ahead and do is I am going to let Derek go ahead and explain to you exactly what it is he can do for you. We will go ahead and put his contact details up there on the screen at least once for now so you can see how to get in touch with them and I will let him take it away.
Hi, this is Derek Halpern from Health Tours Thailand. I wanted to share with you a little bit about Dental in Thailand. Dental work, overseas, in America and in many places can be quite expensive. Thailand is one of the world's best places to come and do dental work, specifically things like dental implants and other oral surgeries. I want to share a case study. Someone that was considering doing dental in America but they ultimately came to Thailand to do it. Now you might be thinking yourself, “why would I come all the way to Thailand to do my dental work?” and this is the reason why. The cost to do dental implants in Thailand is significantly lower than the West, in America and Europe. As an example, our friend had 9 tooth implants done. In Thailand, including his airfare, including world class dental care, the cost was about 30,000 US dollars for 9 implants; about a million Baht. If the same procedure was done in the West, in America, it would have been at least double - 60 to 80,000 - so he was able to save 30, upwards of $30,000 by coming to Thailand and doing his dental work. And even better, the post recovery and treatment, being able to relax in Thailand and recover in a warm, tropical country, many nice attractions, spas and resorts is an added benefit. So if you need to get dental work done, consider Thailand, it might be the right thing for you.
