As the title of this video suggests, we are discussing Tourism in Thailand and something I don't think policy makers are really, even sometimes the public is thinking about because we are so right now here recently, especially the last few weeks, we have been so concentrated on what rules are getting rolled back, what restrictions are going away that we are not maybe looking at the bigger picture.

I think this is especially important in an economic sense, I am not going to get off on a rant about Government not being good in business. They aren't, we all know this. I actually think the Thai Government has acted in good faith throughout all of this; I think they tried their best; I think they are continuing to try their best. At the end of the day though they are Government, they are not in the private sector. It is a different mindset; it is a different paradigm to be in one as opposed to being in the other. Something I think everyone frankly is kind of overlooking right now is the fact that tourists looking to come to Thailand, it's a big, big step especially for folks in the United States or the Western hemisphere, Canada, the US maybe even South America, yeah even Europe too. It is a big deal to travel this far to come to Thailand and folks love coming here, there's no doubt about that. Thailand is great. It has got great beaches, a great place to be but we have still got these restrictions on us. Thailand Pass is still hanging around here at the end of April, early May 2022. Yes, it is easier than it was a month ago but compared to other places in the region, it is not as easy. Also when people are looking at all of this and looking at booking their tours for what is going to be high season in Thailand sort of at least late October, November, December, January of 2022-2023, they are booking those things now; they are looking at making plans now or at least going into the summer.

So I think, I am hoping folks take that into consideration especially policy makers when looking at all these current restrictions on coming into Thailand, and let's be clear, they are better than they were, there is no doubt about that but we need to really get rid of them in a broad manner so as to encourage tourists to come during High Season of 2022 going into 2023.
