Relief for Pattaya Businesses in August?

Transcript of the above video:

As the title of this video suggests, we are discussing the possibility of some relief for businesses in Pattaya in August. I found this in the Pattaya Mail, actually in the print edition of the Pattaya Mail, the article is titled: US Sailors to Return to Pattaya for R&R in August. Quoting directly: "American sailors are set to return to Pattaya in August bringing much-needed relief to the economically depressed City." Quoting further: "Speaking to the media two days later on April 23rd, Mayor Sontaya Kunplome said Pattaya would welcome them with open arms and hopes the pubs and bars will be open and bustling." Sure, we are all hoping the same thing.

They go into a lot of detail here where they were talking about the Captain of the ship associated with possible shore leave or R&R in Pattaya in August. I definitely have to say I have been criticized on this channel as of late being kind of a downer talking about a lot of the things going on with especially the response to the third wave of COVID-19 but I do try to keep a sunny disposition and hope, I do believe it is always darkest before the dawn and I do hope that you know we are going to see the light at the end of the tunnel; I don't want to mix too many metaphors there but hopefully rather soon things will get back to some degree of normality and we will hopefully see business start to bustle as noticed in this in this article. I definitely think it would be welcome.

As we have noted in other videos on this channel, the tourism sector here has been really, really hit hard. The food and beverage industry; the entertainment industry; the bar sector very much hit hard and truly my sympathy is with the folks that work in these areas because they have been really displaced as a result of this. Hopefully this will come to pass in August and hopefully it is a sign of things to come and we will start to see things get back onto an even keel moving forward.
