Thai Business Visa Renewal Via Embassies and Consulates
Transcript of the above video:
As the title of this video suggests, we are discussing Thai Business Visas specifically renewals at Embassies and Consulates. The reason I am making this video is because I don't think a lot of people fully understand how this all works.
In the past, I know a lot of people that preferred to deal with their Visa through what was called a multiple-entry Visa; they had a multi-entry Visa. So there was a time when you could get a one-year Business Visa especially if you had a Work Permit at an Embassy or Consulate and as long as you did a Border Run every 90 days, that Visa stayed valid. It had a one-year validity on its sticker but it only was good for 90 days per entry, so you would stay for 90 days, run to a border and cross back in; nobody had a real problem with that.
Those are effectively gone so as a practical matter, ongoing renewal of Thai Business Visas at Embassies and Consulates is not an overly optimal methodology of maintaining one's Business Visa status. Instead it may be more optimal to take a look at extending via an Immigration apparatus within the Kingdom of Thailand.
