Thai Business Visas and the One Stop Service Center

Transcript of the above video:

As the title of this video suggests, we are discussing Thai Business Visas. We are specifically discussing those Thai Business Visas which are issued in the context of those who can utilize the One-Stop Service Center.

We are quoting directly from the Royal Thai Embassy website in the United Kingdom: Quoting directly from that site: "Foreigners who are eligible to apply for Visa extension and Work Permits at the One-Stop Service Center are: foreigner who is an executive or expert with privileges accorded to them by the following laws: Investment Petroleum Act of 1977; Petroleum Act of 1971; Industrial Estate Authority of Thailand Act 1979. There are foreigners who are investors in Thailand and investing not less than 2 million Baht, if investing not less than 10 million Baht as well. The 2 million Baht folks get a 1-year Work Permit, 10 million Baht folks get a 2-year Work Permit. There are also foreigners who are executives or experts of a Company with 30 million Baht registered capital; foreigners who are the member of the Foreign press, but I am not going to get into that too much here; foreigners who are needed on a necessary and urgent basis for no longer than 15 days; foreigner who is an official of the representative office for foreign juristic persons concerning the international trading business and regional office of transactional corporation in accordance to the Foreign Business Act 1999; foreigners who are experts in information technology or a foreigner who works at a regional operating headquarter."  So some of that stuff is obsolete now under the law but there are folks who are going to be eligible for One Stop Service Center usage here in Thailand. Those folks’ Business Visas may process differently, even under this COVID regime, they may process differently compared to other types of Business Visa.

So the thing to take away from this video is if you use One-Stop Service Center and you are trying to get back to Thailand or get into Thailand in Business Visa status, it may be a good idea to contact a legal professional in order to gain some insight and guidance into the overall process.
