As the title of this video suggests, we are discussing Thailand Elite which has been a topic of concern amongst a few expats I have talked to hear recently; I'm just going to go ahead and get into this. I thought of making this video after reading a recent article from the Pattaya Mail, that is pattayamail.com, the article is titled: Mega changes ahead for Thailand's Elite Visa. Quoting directly: "No official announcement has yet been made to detail what the new October 1 Elite Visa packages look like. Enrollment and renewal fees are likely to rise as the principle of Elite has always been to attract high spenders, wealthy expats and global citizens. The number of packages, some of which include deals for expat families as well as individuals, may well be reduced or combined." 

Yeah, as we have discussed in other videos on this channel and we have quoted directly from websites affiliated with the Thailand Elite program, yeah they have officially announced they are discontinuing basically their entire line it looks like to me of Thailand Elite Visas and they have said that they are going to come back out and announce what the new programs are going to look like. As of the time of this video, we have yet to see what any new programs do in fact look like and we will keep you updated on this channel as that evolves. 

But it stands to reason there is a lot of talk out there. Again this is all speculation but I don't think it's unreasonable to believe that possibly prices associated with different programs could be going up. I expect more likely than anything, well not more likely but I expect one of the main reasons for this thing is consolidation of different programs. One of the issues that Elite has had for a while is they have got this whole sort of menu of programs and trying to decipher the differences between them can be a little bit difficult and I could kind of see where from a business standpoint it might behoove them to consolidate some of the programs so that it is a little more concise. You have got kind of a Short-Term Elite Visa, a Middle-Term Elite Visa and a Long-Term Elite Visa and then like a Family Package.

Again, pure speculation. We don't exactly know what this is going to look like but again we will keep you updated on this channel as the situation evolves.
