As the title of this video suggests, we are discussing Thai Immigration and the possibility of Thai Immigration matters being "smooth and hassle-free". I thought of making this video after reading a recent article from the Pattaya Mail, that is pattayamail.com, the article is titled: Pattaya Immigration's customer improvements go ahead. I urge those who are watching this video, go check out that article in detail, a lot of good information in there. Quoting directly: "The moves are part of a package of Innovations by newly appointed Police Colonel Parina Klinkesorn to improve facilities. He told Pattaya Mayor Poramet Ngampichet," (sorry transliterations throw me off) Quoting "I aim to make visiting Immigration in Jomtien a smooth and hassle-free experience during their stay." and that is certainly a laudable thing to aim for especially from a Head of Immigration, and not sometimes quite the theme that's on the mind of many Immigration Officers. 

As we have discussed in many other videos in the past, Thai Immigration here recently has taken much more sort of an enforcement position, sort of an enforcement paradigm if you will rather than kind of more of an administrative paradigm that we had seen from Thai Immigration in times past. Now that being said, there are certain sort of Immigration jurisdictions here in Thailand for example, as noted down there in Pattaya where they take a different tack and the Head of Immigration down there seems to want to facilitate more tourists, more retirees, more people coming to Thailand preferably and presumably to spend money. We all like seeing foreigners coming to Thailand and spending money, that is certainly a good thing.

So the thing to take away from this video and the thing that is noteworthy here is that it does appear as though Officials within the Immigration apparatus are taking affirmative steps to try and go ahead and make sure that Thai Immigration is a more seamless overall process.
