Thai Immigration Inspections in Business Visa Application Cases

Transcript of the above video:

As the title of this video suggests we are going to be discussing specifically the issue of Immigration inspections and we are going to be discussing that topic specifically in the context of the Business visa, especially the Business Visa Unit here at Chaeng Wattana, or the Immigration Headquarters here at Chaeng Wattana, in Bangkok, Thailand.

What are we talking about here? Well, I did another video specifically on the issue of inspections. We were seeing more inspections than the past. It would seem that with respect to brand new business visa extensions, it has come to my attention anecdotally that in virtually any case involving a business visa extension, a first time extension, we are going to start seeing inspections in virtually all cases. So it looks like Business Visa inspections are not going to be something that only happens to a certain percentage of visa applicants or extension applicants. In the context of first time visa extenders, it looks like we are going to start seeing inspections in almost all of those cases. That being said, we will do an update on this as things progress, but this is the information that has kind of been handed down, for lack of a better term has come to my attention just from processing cases here in recent weeks. I can’t site anyone in particular but it has been my experience that virtually every case that we have been dealing with, with a first time B visa extension, an inspection was just right around the corner and it had an air of inevitability, for lack of a better term.

I think we are going to start seeing this more frequently. I think B visas that those who are seeking B visas are going to see their extension application have an inspection as a follow up, especially in those cases involving first time extenders. It would also appear that Labor Department is increasingly falling back on a rather older policy of only issuing work permits up until the expiration date of the underlying initial single entry visa and for that reason it is making things a little bit tight with respect to overall processing but I did a specific video on that topic in another video on this channel and I urge those who are interested in work permit as it relates to

B visa extension issues to go ahead and go check out that video specifically. But the thing to take away from this one is, I think especially here in the Bangkok metro area it is a pretty good idea to go ahead and assume that in a first time B visa extension case, we are going to be seeing inspections in virtually all of those cases moving forward.
