Thai Immigration Set to "Permanently Blacklist" 15 Foreigners?

Transcript of the above video:

As the title of this video suggests, we are discussing, well as the thumbnail suggests, this is kind of one of these "foreigners behaving badly" videos but it looks like that 15 foreigners here in Thailand are set to be permanently Blacklisted. I thought of making this video after reading a recent article from Bangkok Post, bangkokpost.com, the article is titled: 15 Chinese scammers arrested in Chonburi. Quoting directly: "Fifteen alleged Chinese scammers have been arrested in Chonburi Province for defrauding fellow nationals in a fake investment scheme." Yeah so just to provide a little context, unfortunately a lot of these Call Centre scams get sort of based down here in Southeast Asia and by the way, Thailand is by far not the only jurisdiction that has this issue but they tend to not really focus on anything in the country, they tend to scam their own nationals, whoever they may be: English speakers, Chinese speakers, whatever. Quoting further: "The suspects were initially charged with working without permission before being transferred to Nong Prue Police Station for further legal action and deportation." Quoting further: "Immigration Authorities announced that they would revoke the suspects’ visas and permanently Blacklist them."

Yeah look, if you're looking to use Thailand as some sort of a platform for nefarious criminal activity, Thai Authorities have been very clear on the fact that they are not interested in this anymore. Frankly they are tired of it and they don't really like from my sort of anecdotal understanding having talked to law enforcement just tangentially about these things over the years, they don't like it when foreign Embassies and things contact them about "hey we have got this scammer gang here in the country, you need to do something about it." It is something that law enforcement takes very seriously. So again, it's not something you want to come to Thailand to engage in.

The point of this video more than anything though is to understand fundamentally that look effectively when you get put on the Blacklist - especially associated with some sort of criminal activity here in Thailand - it is basically going to be permanent. You are going to permanently be deprived from returning to the Kingdom of Thailand.
