Thai Retirement Visa Processing in 2023
Transcript of the above video:
As the title of this video suggests, we are discussing Thai Retirement Visa processing and how that process may or may not change in 2023. Do I expect there to be major changes to Visa processing of Retirement Visas in 2023? Not really. In fact I presume the actual process itself will look very much like it has done lo these past few years, notably things like the O-A Retirement Visa being sought at Embassies and Consulates abroad, however that has been processing in 2022, expect it to remain largely the same, same goes for Thai Immigration here in country.
Now that said, things that I do think may be on the horizon with regard to change, one of the big ones I think with regard to Thai Retirement Visas is going to be documentation pertaining to financial evidence associated with maintaining one's Thai Retirement Visa. As we have noted in other videos on this channel, things like pension documentation is being more carefully scrutinized, documentation pertaining to the money one has in their Thai Bank Account, again being more heavily scrutinized than times past. Something to think about going into 2023 is the possibility that Thai Retirement Visa processing, although it may look the same, you may be looking at higher thresholds associated with the financial documentation associated with Thai Retirement Visas. Another thing to keep in mind, the Thai O-A Retirement Visa now requires insurance coverage that in the past it did not require most notably 3 million Baht in coverage which can either be shown in a Thai Bank Account or through some sort of policy. So again, I think that's going to keep going into 2023.
The big thing to keep in mind, the big thing to be worried about on the horizon with regard to Thai Retirement Visas, looks to me like documentation pertaining to financial evidence.
