As the title of this video suggests, we are discussing an end to the Mask Mandates and anybody that watches this channel with any frequency, probably knows this is music to my ears as far as I am concerned. I have had serious issues with so-called "Mask Mandates" and I have made another video contemporaneously with this one that is kind of a companion video that will be coming up here shortly. But I wanted to go ahead and just do this one just as a sort of almost a basic sort of reporting what is going on. 

This is from ASEAN NOW, aseannow.com, the article is titled: Thai Ministry of Public Health to propose ending Mask Mandates by mid-June. Quoting directly: "Dr. Kiatpoom Wongrachit, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Public Health (MOPH) announce this afternoon, May 24^th, 2022, that the Ministry of Public Health is planning to propose to the Center for COVID-19 Situation Administration or CCSA, an end Mask Mandates in most situations across Thailand by mid-June."

Now as folks know, I have had a problem with this from the get-go. As noted in other videos where we have quoted the Minister of Public Health himself, there is no Law backing this up. This whole thing is highly specious in my opinion. Leaving that aside, and kind of in an effort of goodwill to just get on with our lives, just in my opinion I am just happy to see this and I hope this happens not in mid-June but at the end of May. Any day sooner that this could happen is a day better for Thailand; it is a day better for the Tourism Sector here in Thailand; it is a day better for the prospects of the economy. I think just across the board, this thing has really kind of snowballed I think. It got beyond anyone’s sort of control. It just got so big and people were so worried and quite frankly in many ways hysterical that it was just sort of allowed to mushroom beyond what anyone reasonably would presume would be necessary and that is what has brought us to where we are at today. 

Long story short, it looks like it is coming to an end. We will certainly keep you updated on this channel as the situation evolves.
