Is There Any Way to Avoid Quarantine When Traveling to Thailand?

Transcript of the above video:

As the title of this video suggests, we are discussing quarantine and traveling to Thailand.

I get this question rather frequently and the question is, "Is there anything I can do to avoid going through quarantine when coming into Thailand?" Well the short answer to that question, at least as at the time of this video is, "No." Pretty much anyone traveling to Thailand in a Non-immigrant capacity, for example a B Visa or an O Visa, no it is not possible to avoid quarantine.

All of the discussions being held with respect to implementing new tourism protocols associated with travel into Thailand, they have all presumed that quarantine was going to happen. There is nothing in these discussions that leads me to believe that there is anything yet wherein folks are not going to have to do quarantine. So, I think for the foreseeable future, we are going to have to be dealing with quarantine, again for the foreseeable future.

I have talked to folks in the tourism industry, we have talked to some folks in the travel industry as well as the legal field and Immigration contacts that we have, it seems March, April is probably the soonest we would see any semblance of normality returning to the overall travel environment with respect to Thailand. So again it could be sooner. In fact I hope it is sooner and there are some things that lead me to believe that that could actually occur. Maybe the first of the year we start seeing things sort of revert back to their sort of natural state of being but as of the time of this video and generally speaking, I prefer to remain cautiously optimistic. For that reason I think it is rather prudent to presume the quarantine thing is going to be around longer rather than shorter in amount of time into the future.
