"Travel Bubbles" Appear Set for September in Thailand

Transcript of the above video:

As the title of this video suggests, we are discussing "travel bubbles" yet again and we are discussing them specifically in the context of when they are likely to happen. Some further clarification has come out that would seem to suggest September is kind of the ETA; the estimated time of arrival for travel bubbles here in Thailand.

In a recent article from the Bangkok Post, the article is titled: Local Tourist Plan for Medical Tourists. Quoting directly: "The Government is planning for local tours for medical and wellness tourists from overseas from next month and the start of “travel bubbles” in September, a senior Spokesman said on Friday."  So I urge those who are watching this channel to read this article directly. I am going to quote further from the end of the article. Quoting directly: "The Government also plans to welcome specific groups of tourists through "travel bubble" arrangements with countries that have controlled the Coronavirus disease".

So first of all the list of countries seems to be in a state of flux at the moment and we will try to update you on this channel as best we can. I have been reading things and hearing things where certain countries are on the list, certain aren't; I have yet to actually see something I find to be definitive. I will certainly update you as best we can as time allows and as the platform progresses. That being said, September appears to be the opening or the possible opening when we are going to see these “travel bubbles” come online. Now in a video I made contemporaneously with this one we discuss how apparently travel bubbles are going to be phased in. It is not going to be this instantaneous thing. They are going to be brought in sort of slowly and exactly how this is going to work remains to be seen.

We will certainly be updating you on this channel as things progress. For now, the thing to understand and take away from this video is that September appears to be the earliest at which we are probably going to see anything akin to this "travel bubble" initiative being implemented.
