As the title of this video suggests, we are discussing changes at Thai Immigration. What are we talking about here? We are talking about policy changes. Now this is not a hard and fast rule, don't view it this way, but when changes do occur in Thai Immigration - especially from a policy standpoint - they tend to happen at the turn of a new year. Not always the case, but that's how it tends to go. 

As we have discussed in other videos, most notably videos about "Big Joke" if you go back to 2017, 2018, he made massive changes throughout the year, so it's not always the case that you will see this stuff happen at New Year's. That said, I do think the apparatus views the New Year as kind of a convenient time to go ahead and institute policy changes. What could we see? A number of things. I've discussed in other videos, the DTV, we don't exactly know how that's going to play out. I get into detail on that in another video; I won't go into detail on that on here. Meanwhile we have the Electronic Travel Authorization which they initially said they were rolling out in 2025, then they said they are postponing it. Exactly when that's going to happen remains to be seen. Thai Immigration internally through the Ministry of Interior here in Thailand, the Immigration Bureau, has said they are rolling out the Thai Immigration System, or Service depending on what you read, but the TIS is the acronym, that's going to be rolled out here in 2025 it looks like, so what the ramifications are that remain to be seen. Then meanwhile, as discussed in other videos, Thai Embassies and Consulates abroad are now exclusively issuing Thai E-Visas. 

So all of this sort of trend towards digitalization is moving forward with I think a possibility that it may consolidate in 2025 and we will certainly be keeping you updated on this channel regarding those developments.
